Colour bulbs

The colour bulb can control dimming, white light and colours. Before you can use the colour bulb you have to add it to the Link. This page describes the interaction and setup of the following colour bulb;

Adding the colour bulb to the link

Before you add the bulb to the link take note of the following:

• One at a time

You can only add one colour bulb at a time. Adding multiple bulbs at the same time can result in unwanted behaviour.

• Don’t turn on the power yet

You can install the bulb in a fitting, but do not yet power it on. If at this stage you've done so accidentally don’t worry! Make sure that the power is turned off again before you re-start the procedure.

• Do not use a dimmer

The following steps explain how to add the bulb in the HomeWizard Link App:

1. Open the 'HomeWizard link' app 
2. Go to the  'My Home' tab at the bottom right of the screen. 
3. In the app, go to the 'Home Settings' by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner
4. Select 'Add devices'
5. You are in the 'Add new devices' screen.
   • Select ’Colour bulb’ to add a colour bulb in the link.
   • If everything is well prepared, press 'next' to start the pairing process.
     • Now turn on the power to the bulb. The bulb will blinkbriefly when it is paired.
       • Follow the further instructions on the app.

6. Congratulations, you have added a colour bulb to the HomeWizard link.

Controlling the colour bulb in the Homewizard link app

Once added, it is possible to operate the colour bulb.

1. Open the 'HomeWizard app'  
2. At the bottom of the screen, click on the ‘Control’.
3. You are now in the 'control' screen. Find the colour lamp in the added room.
   • Tab once on the 'tile’ of the colour bulb to turn the light ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’
   • Hold down the ‘tile’’ of the colour bulb for a long time to ‘EDIT’.
     • Once in the ‘Device settings’ of the colour lamp you can now edit;
       • Press “White” This changes the shades of white light
         • Use the field to choose the desired white shades.
         • Press the ‘slider’ to dim the light.
       • Press “Colour” to change the colours of the light
         • Use the field to choose the desired colour.
         • Press the ‘slider’ to dim the light.
       • Press  'History' to view the history of the colour bulb
       • Press  ‘Device setting’ to change the name, toggle between your favourite positions or manage automation.
