A Energy socket is a wall socket that view the power consumption and switch light up to 3500 watt. Before you can use this energy socket properly you have to add it to the Link.

Adding The energy socket to the Link
Before you add the dimmer socket to the link take note of the following:
- Pair only one at a time
You can only add one connected socket at a time. Adding multiple energy socket units at the same time can result in unwanted behaviour.
- Use the correct device in the energy switch
With the energy switch you can switch devices up to 3500 watts. Check whether the device / lamps meet these requirements. - Don’t plug the dimmer socket in just yet
Don't plugin the dimmer socket in the wall. If you have accidentally done so already don’t worry. Make sure that the dimmer socket is switched off before you start the procedure.
The following steps explain how to add the plug-in switch into the HomeWizard Link app
- Open the 'HomeWizard link' app
- Go to the 'My Home' tab at the bottom right of the screen.
- In the app, go to the 'Home Settings' by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner
- Select 'Add devices'
- You are now in the 'Add new devices' screen.
- Select ’Energy socket’ to add the plug-in switch to the link.
- If everything is well prepared, press 'next' to start the pairing process.
- Quickly switch on the plug-in switch. The LED indicator will start flashing rapidly to indicate that it is attempting to pair.
- Follow the further instructions on the app.
- Quickly switch on the plug-in switch. The LED indicator will start flashing rapidly to indicate that it is attempting to pair.
- Congratulations, you have added a plug-in switch to the HomeWizard link.
Controlling the plug-in switch in the Homewizard link app
Once added, it is possible to operate the plug-in switch
- Open the 'HomeWizard app'
- At the bottom of the screen, click on ‘Control’.
- Once you are in the 'control' screen,find the LED lamp in the added room.
- Tab once on the 'tile’ of the plug-in switch to turn the light ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’
- Hold down the ‘tile’’ of the plug-in switch for a long time to ‘EDIT’.
- You are now in the ‘Device settings’ of the plug-in switch and can edit;
- The 'Power consumption' of the plug-in switch.
- Press 'History' to view the history of the plug-in switch
- Press ‘Device setting’ to change the name, toggle your favourite position or manage automation.
- You are now in the ‘Device settings’ of the plug-in switch and can edit;
Placing and installation of the plug-in switch
The plug-in switch can be placed in any socket within the range of the link.

2. Paring mode (Once already in the socket)When you first plug the plug-in switch into your mains socket, the indicator LED will start flashing rapidly to indicate that it is attempting to pair. At this stage quickly press 'Next' in the app (see above). It should now pair to the link and the plug-in switch should stop flashing. It is now ready to use from the app. |
3. Manual OperationYou can also use the 'button' on the plug-in switch to turn it ON or OFF manually. |
4. Factory settingsIf you 'press and hold' the button for longer than 1 minute, the led indicator on the socket will turn off. The device has now reverted to it's default factory settings. |
